Another potential stash-busting project awaits!!
Today’s inspiration comes from unique yarn combinations and simple color work patterns. Let me introduce your needles to the “Inspira Cowl” By Graphica.
The Inspira Cowl is a free pattern download on Ravelry and has the option for using any yarn from fingering to bulky weight. It is highly recommended to use 2 long color repeating yarns. The yarn in the photo above is Unisono by Skacel and is comprised of unusual colors and long repeats. On their own...each skein was rather simple but the combination of the 2 colors really make this pattern pop!!
This is the Mesa Rock version of the Inspira Cowl. This particular pattern was completed by MissOurlet using 3 skeins of Noro Silk Garden. She used 3 skeins of the same color. I love how the colors flow and stripe beautifully.
Here is the Steampunk version of the Inspiration Cowl. This piece was knit by Vevka using 2 skeins in 2 different colors of Mille Colori Baby by Lang Yarns. At $11 a skein this project only costs $22!!
Just a little peek at a few color combos of Milli Colori Baby. Each skein contains 208 yds. And would pair well with a size 6 US needle for this project.
The Inspira Cowl starts at the bottom edge. There are a few decrease rounds that help draw in the upper part of the neck inward which helps the cowl lay well around the neck.
May you be forewarned ...this pattern addictive. Happy stash busting!!
